At Organic Health Nut, we take food safety, ingredient transparency, dietary requirements, and allergen awareness seriously.

We produce a variety of freshly made, made-to-order baked goods, including products that may be identified as gluten-free, vegan, dairy-free, keto, or suitable for other dietary preferences.

Because our bakery prepares many different products in a shared kitchen environment, customers with food allergies, celiac disease, food intolerances, sensitivities, or medically required dietary restrictions should carefully review this notice before placing an order.

1. Shared Kitchen & Allergen Notice

Organic Health Nut is not an allergen-free facility.

Our kitchen handles ingredients that contain, or may contain:

  • Milk and dairy

  • Eggs

  • Soy

  • Wheat

  • Gluten-containing ingredients

  • Peanuts

  • Tree nuts, including walnuts

  • Other ingredients or allergens depending on the products being prepared

Different products may be prepared using the same kitchen, work areas, ovens, mixers, appliances, storage areas, utensils, pots, pans, baking trays, and other equipment.

Because of this shared environment, cross-contact between ingredients and allergens may be possible despite reasonable precautions.

2. Our Allergen-Aware Preparation Procedures

We take reasonable steps to reduce the risk of unintended allergen or ingredient cross-contact.

Depending on the product and order, our procedures may include:

  • Cleaning and sanitizing work surfaces before preparation

  • Cleaning equipment and utensils used during production

  • Cleaning pots, pans, trays, bowls, and baking equipment

  • Wiping and sanitizing preparation tables and work areas

  • Following ingredient-handling procedures designed to minimize cross-contact

  • Keeping ingredients properly stored and identified

  • Reviewing product ingredients when preparing specialty orders

  • Taking reasonable precautions when preparing gluten-free, vegan, or other specialty products

These measures are intended to reduce risk, but they cannot necessarily eliminate every possibility of cross-contact in a shared kitchen.

Organic Health Nut therefore does not represent its entire kitchen or facility as allergen-free or gluten-free.

3. Important Notice for Customers With Severe Allergies

If you or the person consuming the product has a severe, life-threatening, or highly sensitive food allergy, please contact Organic Health Nut before placing an order.

Our shared kitchen environment may not be appropriate for every level of food allergy or sensitivity.

Although we will make reasonable efforts to answer questions about ingredients and preparation, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of an allergen from our shared kitchen environment.

Customers with severe allergies should make purchasing decisions based upon their individual medical requirements and level of sensitivity.

Where the possibility of cross-contact presents an unacceptable medical risk, customers should not rely solely on a dietary product description, website statement, or special-order request when deciding whether a product is appropriate for them.

4. Gluten-Free Products

Some Organic Health Nut products may be specifically identified or marketed as gluten-free.

A gluten-free product description applies only to the particular product identified as gluten-free. It does not mean that the Organic Health Nut kitchen or facility as a whole is gluten-free.

Gluten-free products may be prepared within a shared kitchen in which wheat and other gluten-containing ingredients are also handled.

We use reasonable preparation, cleaning, sanitation, ingredient-selection, and handling measures intended to reduce the risk of unintended gluten cross-contact when preparing products represented as gluten-free.

Customers with celiac disease, severe gluten sensitivity, wheat allergy, or another medically diagnosed condition should contact us before purchasing if they require additional information about ingredients or our preparation environment.

Important Canadian Gluten-Free Notice

Products advertised or represented as gluten-free are subject to applicable Canadian food requirements.

A disclaimer concerning our shared kitchen does not change the regulatory requirements applicable to a product represented as gluten-free.

Accordingly, the term “gluten-free” applies only to products for which Organic Health Nut determines that the claim can appropriately be made.

5. Vegan Products

Products identified as vegan are prepared using recipes intended not to contain intentionally added animal-derived ingredients applicable to that product.

However, vegan products may be prepared in the same kitchen where products containing ingredients such as:

  • Milk

  • Butter

  • Cream

  • Cheese

  • Eggs

  • Other animal-derived ingredients

are also prepared.

Therefore, a product described as vegan should not automatically be interpreted as an allergy-safe dairy-free or egg-free product.

Customers with milk, egg, or other food allergies should consider our shared-kitchen allergen notice separately from the product's vegan designation.

6. Dietary Claims Are Not the Same as Allergen-Free Claims

Descriptions such as:

  • Vegan

  • Gluten-free

  • Keto

  • Low-carbohydrate

  • Dairy-free

  • Organic

  • Non-GMO

  • Sugar-free

  • No-added-sugar

  • Or other dietary descriptions

have different meanings and should not be interpreted as meaning that a product is free from all allergens.

For example:

Vegan does not automatically mean allergen-free.

Gluten-free does not automatically mean nut-free.

Dairy-free does not automatically mean egg-free.

Keto does not automatically mean gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, or suitable for every medical condition.

Please review each product individually.

7. Ingredients May Vary Between Products

Every Organic Health Nut product may contain a different combination of ingredients.

Customers should not assume that because one Organic Health Nut product does not contain a particular ingredient, another product will also be free from that ingredient.

Please review the ingredient and allergen information for the specific product you intend to purchase.

When information is unclear, please contact us before ordering.

8. Ingredient & Supplier Changes

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate ingredient and allergen information.

However, ingredient brands, suppliers, formulations, manufacturing facilities, or ingredient availability may occasionally change.

An ingredient supplier may also change the formulation or allergen information associated with a particular ingredient.

For this reason, customers with allergies or medical dietary requirements are encouraged to contact us regarding current ingredient information before ordering when the information is particularly important to their health or safety.

We reserve the right to substitute an ingredient or supplier when reasonably necessary, provided that we continue to meet applicable requirements and do not intentionally misrepresent the product.

9. “May Contain” & Cross-Contact Information

Where appropriate, Organic Health Nut may provide precautionary allergen information regarding potential cross-contact.

Any such statement is intended to communicate a potential risk and should be taken seriously by customers with the relevant allergy or sensitivity.

The absence of a particular precautionary statement on a general website page should not be interpreted as a guarantee that an allergen is absent from every product.

Customers should refer to product-specific information and contact us if they require clarification.

10. Custom Dietary Requests

We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate certain dietary requests where possible.

However, acceptance of a request such as:

  • “No dairy”

  • “No nuts”

  • “Gluten-free”

  • “Vegan”

  • “No eggs”

  • “No soy”

  • “Keto”

  • Or another dietary request

does not automatically mean that our entire kitchen, equipment, or preparation environment is free from the ingredient or allergen concerned.

We reserve the right to decline a custom dietary or allergen-related request when we believe we cannot reasonably accommodate it within our kitchen or production environment.

Customer safety takes priority over accepting an order.

11. Order Notes Do Not Create an Allergen-Free Guarantee

Entering an allergy, intolerance, or dietary request in the:

  • Order notes

  • Checkout comments

  • Delivery instructions

  • Customization field

  • Email

  • Text message

  • Social media message

does not automatically constitute confirmation that Organic Health Nut can safely accommodate that request.

Customers with allergies or medically necessary dietary restrictions should contact us and obtain clarification before completing their order.

12. Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for:

  • Reviewing product descriptions before ordering

  • Reviewing available ingredient information

  • Reviewing allergen information

  • Advising us of relevant dietary requirements when appropriate

If you are purchasing products for another person, event, workplace, school, gathering, catering function, or celebration, please communicate relevant allergen information to those consuming the products.

13. Catering, Events & Products Served to Others

If Organic Health Nut products are purchased for:

  • Catering

  • Parties

  • Weddings

  • Birthdays

  • Corporate events

  • Schools

  • Community events

  • Markets

  • Family gatherings

  • Gifts

  • Other group functions

the purchaser is responsible for communicating relevant product and allergen information to the individuals who will consume the products.

Products should not be represented by a customer or third party as allergen-free unless Organic Health Nut has specifically confirmed that such a representation is appropriate.

14. Product Labels & Packaging

Where applicable, customers should review ingredient lists, allergen declarations, precautionary statements, storage instructions, and other information provided with or on the product.

Information appearing on the specific product or packaging should be considered together with information provided on our website.

If you have questions or notice any apparent discrepancy, please contact us before consuming the product.

15. After Delivery or Pickup

Organic Health Nut cannot control the handling of products after they have been delivered to or picked up by the customer.

After receiving an order, customers are responsible for preventing additional cross-contact.

Cross-contact could occur after delivery through:

  • Shared serving utensils

  • Shared cutting boards

  • Shared containers

  • Shared storage

  • Serving trays

  • Other foods

  • Hands

  • Kitchen surfaces

  • Transportation

  • Event or catering environments

If products are intended for individuals with allergies or dietary restrictions, care should continue to be taken after the products leave Organic Health Nut.

  • Keto diets

  • Ingredients

  • Food sensitivities

is provided for general informational purposes and is not medical advice.

Organic Health Nut does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent medical conditions.

Customers with food allergies, celiac disease, diabetes, metabolic conditions, food intolerances, or other health concerns should consult an appropriate qualified healthcare professional regarding their individual needs.

17. No Guarantee Beyond Applicable Legal Requirements

Nothing in this policy is intended to provide a guarantee beyond the representations specifically made about an individual product.

Similarly, nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or restrict any responsibility or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Canadian or Ontario law.
